In the late 1970’s Barbara was a very active Early Childhood educator. Working with small
children can be fun, but as a substitute teacher it can be quite challenging!! She found by
wearing “fun” earrings and pins, wich she made in her spare time, that students were
entertained by the sight of the “adornments.”
The children were now paying attention to
Barbara, in sort of a bonding way. It was a fabulous end to the means!! Other teachers
and friends started asking her to make “DITTSIES” for them. Barbara got busy with a project
that proved to be relaxing and also fun.
After a couple of years, a good friend, another crafter, suggested Barbara enter into some
craft shows to sell her “fun” jewelry. She did just that… and the rest, as they say… is history!!
People loved the jewelry Barbara had to offer. Now, you too can revel in the DITTSIES FUN!!
